On SD 50710.08, the Manticore engaged in computerized wargames, using external holo emitters. The battles started to inflict actual damage on the ship and mysterious crystalline entity ships would only appear and attack us whe our holo-emitters were working. After taking some of the crew hostage in a holo prison, the holo-matrix beings entered Atragon-9's exoskeletal suit and used it to speak with the rest of the crew. The silicon lifeform started to invade A9's body and take control of his brain and the ship, sending it to Bynaus, in the Beta Magellan system, the home planet of the Bynars. On SD 50801.07, Captain Sovak, with a phaser set on kill, shot A9 in the back. The ship continued to Bynaus and the Bynars were able to extract the beings from our ship, as they had originally been a Bynar-designed sub-routine of our enhanced holodeck system.
