The Lincoln outpost, on Proxima Centauri, was a Black Ops station commanded by Melville, with Megan Cummings was posted. The USS Aries, with Atragon-9 as XO, would make regular supply runs to Lincoln and, on SD 49203.00, it was attacked by Romulans (or so everyone had been told) and destroyed. It was actually destroyed by the USS Aries. Manticore returned to the planet, ten years later, in order to see the condition of the lab and if the bio-agent was still at a harmful state. Following an Away Team mission to the surface, some members of the Manticore crew have died to to a severe depletion of sodium from their bodies. Dr. Kyel Mele has dubbed this LSDS for Lincoln Sodium Depletion Syndrome. It turns out that LSDS is actually a nano-tech swarm device that is actually based on the planet. Manticore uses a Planet Killer (SD 50305.05) and vaporizes Proxima Centauri, in order to keep Manticore from being destroyed by this swarm.
