Liquid Anti-Matter (LAM) is a stolen Borg technology that was used by the USS Andromeda, a tri-nacelle Galaxy class ship. On 4980629, the Manticore was sent to rescue the Andromeda after the LAM experiments failed. The liquid had leaked from the ship, creating a cloud surrounding it and it had caused severe psychological damage to the crew.
