Manticore was sent to the Veridian system on SD 50407.26 and then received falsified orders into deep space. After verifying the orders were faked, the ship could not change course or speed as the ship had been sabotaged. Captain Sovak began acting possessed and it was decided that the entity controlling him had sent Manticore into deep space. The entity is a "SophoTechnology" called S'aar that was hidden in the Ganges Chasma on Mars. We reached an uncharted planet and a surface-mounted cradle has latched onto the Manticore to lower it to the surface so we can be "served" by the SophoTechs. After refusing to leave the ship (we were invited by eight identical versions of S'aar, throughout the ship), the entire crew was transported to the surface and Manticore was raised back into orbit. The medical team attempted to fake our deaths to make the Sopho Techs return us to our Sickbay facilities. The S'aar entities realized the trick and did not take the crew back to the ship.
After being "served" for what seemed like weeks, Tovan attempted a communal meditation session and we were able to break through the artificial environment that had held us captive since Mars. Manticore had never left Mars, but the S'aar entity from the Ganges Chasma had placed the crew all under a mental construct thinking that we had flown out of the galaxy. After breaking a few people out of the construct, they sabotaged the ship and, with massive, cascading system failures onboard, the S'aar let the rest of the crew go and retreated back into the Chasma.
